One day, Niki was doodling bishounen(anime pretty-boys) as usual. On this particular day, the result was Kotaro, a character whom Niki decided was to be an incubus living amongst humans, posing as a sexy J-rock artist.
"Hmm," Niki thought. "I think this guy's worth sharing with some of my friends…!" ^_^
Beth and Joan were pretty impressed with Kotaro, and the small group of friends decided that the character needed band members to be created as well, to accompany him. Thus, an early concept for the Honou To Hyoushou saga began to take shape.
Before long, Joan and Beth had the bare bones of a storyline in place, and it was decided that the idea should be made into an ongoing collaborative manga project.
The Japanese title of 'Honou To Hyoushou' can be translated as something along the lines of 'playing with flames and ice crystals', or effectively 'playing with fire and ice'. The title is also the name of the band in the story. We tend to just call it HTH for short… o_~
HTH is still in its infancy as this website is being constructed, and the site will no doubt grow as the manga itself grows.
On this particular part of the site you will be able to see all manner of preliminary work, developmental sketches and various pieces of artwork connected with the creation of HTH.
